Terms of Reference for the #UNTaxConvention adopted - 110 votes to 8!

A historic moment for the #UNTaxConvention, the vote on the terms of reference has passed! Huge congratulations to the committee members & particularly the Africa Group for their leadership. We're one massive step closer to fair & inclusive #GlobalTaxRules.

🎉🇺🇳In an incredible win for #taxjustice, the Terms of Reference for the #UNTaxConvention has been adopted! ✅110 States in favour, 8 against, 44 abstentions

The resistance towards the #UNTaxConvention is crumbling. In November 2023, 48 countries voted against - now we're down to 8! It's rapid progress. But in the future, we expect all countries - incl. OECD ones - to vote yes to the outcomes of the negotiations they participate in.
