Huge news! The commission has adopted implementing regulations that detail the core functionalities of European Digital Identity Wallets as well as how certification will work. This means citizens can now expect wallets by the end of 2026! Read the official release below.

Electronic Attestations of Attributes, or EEAs are a type of digital document that can be added, stored and presented with the EU Digital Identity Wallet, like a university diploma. We refer to EEAs as digital documents on our website. 👇 Visit our FAQ for more:

A milestone in the EU Digital Identity Wallet project is reached, as the Commission adopts five implementing regulations laying down rules for the core functionalities and certification of the wallets. This means that in 24 months EU citizens will have access to wallets! 👇
