End of our last consortium day. A lab tour at the Human Movement Sciences/Bewegingswetenschappen, feedback sessions, a funny and moving recap ppt by Anadi Mehta, a great idea by Samruddhi Damle to write notes to each other to remind us of our time in the project. An amazing talk by Matthew Rodger, he shared his insightful work on how auditory information can be used to understand motor coordination in people with visual impairments

Great presentation on learning and affordances by Seifert Ludovic. He highlighted the importance of learning about the ecological dynamics approach and exploration using climbing as an example

An amazing talk by Paula Silva, on using an ecological approach to rehabilitate stroke patients, catering to movement diversity that leads to better rehabilitation.

It was a great presentation from Frans Steenbrink, from Motek Medical B.V.. We learned about translation from research ideas to commercial products in rehabilitation.

Did you know that ecological ideas were already explored bij Thomas Read, centuries before the work of James Gibson? Erik Myin just told us in an inspiring philosophical presentation

Dario Farina presented fascinating neural interfaces by which his team has studied motor neuron synergies and developed novel ideas for motor rehabilitation.

Rob Withagen started the afternoon session with a provocative talk, trying to integrate some critiques of Gibson’s notion of the environment, such as Alan Costall or Tim Ingold.

Claudia Völker-Rehage gave an interesting talk about the translation of motor control and learning research into clinical practice to enhance motor disorder rehabilitation.

We are thankful to Grdienke Prange from Rossing Research and Development center for a wonderful talk on effect of using a grip support glove; an advanced product of soft robotics and to be potentially helpful in rehabilitation .
