#News Jean Daillant starts as new DG of European Synchrotron As the ESRF celebrates 30 years of science, the European synchrotron welcomes a new Director General.
Delighted to host President Otmar Wiestler @[email protected] and Beate Heinemann director in charge of Particle Physics at DESY (English) DESY (Deutsch) A great opportunity to show the new EBS science and discuss new perspectives of collaboration.
Yesterday we were very pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Otmar D. Wiestler, President of HelmholtzAssociation, Prof. Dr. Beate Heinemann DESY (Deutsch) and Dr. Ilja-Folker Bohnet-Waldraff at #ROBL_BM20 HZDR @[email protected]. It was an excellent opportunity to show our science performed European Synchrotron.
A great honor for the #HZDR team in Grenoble: Yesterday, a delegation from @[email protected] led by President Otmar D. Wiestler toured the European Synchrotron and also made a stop at the Rossendorf Beamline (ROBL), our research facility dedicated to actinide sciences.
Scientists at Rossendorf Beamline use the facility's #synchrotron light to explore the complex chemistry of the #actinides element group. In a recent study, they succeeded in better understanding the unique properties of low-valent #uranium compounds. ➡️ hzdr.de/presse/uran3
