I can promise you that you won't be able to count how many promises of new investment in Scottish culture have been made, or how many strategies or reviews have been announced, over the last year. But, as of today, there is no money committed for anything beyond March. Nothing.

Funny how the Scottish Government can commit the country to hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2026 but can't commit any funding for folk trying to put on home-grown cultural festivals, shows & events after April 2025. If only they'd spent as much time on the latter as they have the former.
