It took me 3 days to figure out what that sound is. Turns out it is a wood-pecker who found out that hammering against a bird house makes a hell lot of noise (and apparently it is fun or some kind of addiction - since it is hammering most of its day for days now...). Sound on!

A heat index of 180°F (82.2°C) and a dew point of 97°F (36.1°C) were recorded in southern Iran today. If these readings are confirmed this would be the highest heat index and dew point ever recorded on Earth.
