A fun canvassing session last night in Brockley. A resident said to me: “But you’ve just won the election. Why are you out canvassing?” I told her we’re not taking anything for granted. 100 days into a Labour government and we’re more committed to delivering change than ever #🌹

Thankful to have been selected for a Banff Centre residency. To be surrounded by the Canadian Rockies, award-winning tutors, and eight amazing writers is inspiring ❤️ Meeting Dawa — the first Nepali woman to summit all 14 peaks above 8000m — was a real highlight 🏔️

A lovely Lewisham East constituency Christmas party! We missed our guest speaker Heidi Alexander MP but send huge congratulations on her new government Cabinet post 🚝 And… I won my first ever raffle prize 💃🏾 🌹

Really lovely to volunteer for the Crisis pop-up shop on Saville Row. Run by a brilliant team and full of generous Christmas shoppers, by the end of our shift on the tills we had already made over £10k in sales! It’s on 11am - 7pm every day until Saturday… 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️

Brilliant to attend the London Growth Plan launch from Mayor Sadiq Khan It aims to get our city (the best city in the world😉) flourishing economically — from big businesses to small, and from the creative industries to the tech sector #LondonIsOpen

It’s Colleges Week🎉 so I spent the morning meeting staff and students at Lewisham College As an incoming board member, I’m excited to see how it will continue to unlock learners’ potential, collaborate with businesses, and support our local community #🌹

Wonderful to attend the Mayfair Montcalm Collection opening launch — and to see my poems framed next to each bed, and lining the wardrobe. Grateful for such a fun writing commission! 🥰

Brilliant trip to Goole, Yorkshire to the Siemens factory to see the new Piccadilly Line trains being built. If the Bakerloo Line is extended to Lewisham and Southwark, it would support jobs and apprenticeships in Goole, as well as businesses in London #BackTheBakerloo #🌹 #🚇
