Jeg prøver at gøre status over den seneste måneds diskussion om koranafbrændinger, som desværre er fyldt med pinagtige argumenter. altinget.dk/etik/artikel/b…

1/3) I'm absolutely thrilled to share my very first #preprint! 🥳I couldn't have done it without the help of my fantastic supervisor Lotte Pedersen and all the amazing contributors, so a huge thank you to everyone involved! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Disturbing visual similarities aside, which is worse? A laughably flawed AI anatomical hallucination that nobody took seriously, or a massive NIH project misusing UMAP hallucinations that wildly exaggerate genetic differences between races?

One of my favourite letters, insightful & humane, from Richard Feynman to a former student who was having a rough time I was reflecting on it as an argument in favour of scope insensitivity, or even in favour of smaller problems:

Alright everybody, what will undoubtedly forever be the lab's strangest discovery is now out in Nature. It's a protein that evolved to self-assemble into a Sierpinski fractal. nature.com/articles/s4158… 1/n

So I have been trying to build a 3D model of a cilia with retro and antero trains included. so far I have this. So I modelmodeledled the kinesin (kif3 hetero trimer) using AF and just placed it somewhere to connect the anterotrain to the microtubule. Sam Lacey

Proud to share this tour de force by Nevin Zacharia ! Amazing structural & cell biology work uncovering IFT172's surprising U-box domain & its role in ciliary signaling. Thanks to all our wonderful collaborators from 🇩🇰🇫🇷 for making this happen! #cilia #structuralbiology
