"Simply put, schools have no interest. Principals are overwhelmed by multiple challenges, boys being the least of them. Teachers, mostly women, have limited interest in the issue. They often see boys as discipline problems and prefer to focus on easier-to-teach girls."

I support homeschooling for individuals but not for societies. I think the outcome of a massive widespread adoption of homeschooling would be terrible for most kids. But I recognize various reason why parents don't want to send their kids to public school. Curious to hear

Of course people were generally aware that Randi and the AFT were tightly allied with the Democrats, but shouldn't Randi have been identified in every article not just as the AFT union president, but as a long-standing and powerful member of the DNC?!?

KIPP Public Schools pushed college for all, but in retrospect Mike Feinberg [says] ‘It should have been career for all’ ...many went to college, didn’t finish, and are now saddled with debt. Feinberg said it’s the latter that keeps him up at night.”

Politico is calling Weingarten a “longtime powerhouse member of the Democratic National Committee” and none of our media thought to mention that while she was shaping school closure policy? What do they even teach in journalism school?

Important question just now by Mark Halperin to dan turrentine during the Morning Meeting on 2WAY: "Do you want the risk or the status quo?" This question applies in so many situations in geopolitics and in life.

In Nov 2020 I was freaking out over how I would juggle childcare and work if the schools shut down over then-Mayor de Blasio's arbitrary 3% positivity rate cutoff (think about how ridiculous that sounds in retrospect). Zohran, single and childless, was tweeting....this.

Remember when vaccine clinics were race based instead of risk based and local reporters said even though it was illegal it "wasn't a story" because of equity blah blah. Good times. In the end, ideologues who think they do journalism are a big reason RFK Jr. is HHS sec.

Colorado can't seem to stop violating the First Amendment. Despite two losses at SCOTUS over the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act's onerous burdening of the 1st Amendment, they're back at it again with a new provision on "misgendering." We're taken them to court. My latest:
