Loved participating in last week’s National Food is Medicine summit at Tufts Nutrition to talk about Project Bread’s model. Since April 2020, our program has provided over 12,000 patients with the resources they need to be food secure, and research is showing this model works!

1/2: Today, the Senate Ways & Means released its budget proposal for the next year. Great news! The budget includes $170 million for #SchoolMealsforAll and full funding for Project Bread’s FoodSource Hotline and Child Nutrition Outreach Program. #FeedKidsMA #MakeHungerHistoryMA.

Thank you Maura Healey & Kim Driscoll! This is why I & others fought so hard to pass enhanced summer food benefits for kids. This new program will give families a little extra help over the summer when hunger is often at its worst because kids don’t have access to school meals.

Food is medicine and the #MA7 is leading the way in removing barriers to food. Grateful for the work @ProjectBread is doing to tackle hunger in our communities and working collaboratively to close the food insecurity gap.
