Today during my writer’s workshop, I met Sian, a middle school reader whose para translated Controlled Burn into braille for her before I visited their school! She gave it to me to share with someone else - if you know of a reader who would like a braille copy, reach out!

So honored to have spent the past two days in Brainerd, MN, meeting with 800+ 5-6th graders to kick off their 2nd-annual, summer-long Battle of the Books. This program is epic- what educator Laurie Wig has built for for these kids is amazing! And...she has a PUPPY!
