Bad news, it’s COVID. I had to cut short my visit with my dad — COVID would kill him — and hole up in the plague hotel with the family. We are all sick.

Libraries stand for many things, but three of them are inclusivity, community, and care for the vulnerable. It would seem fitting, then, for the next ALA to lead the way in bringing back screening and masking in large gatherings.
