Very productive 2 weeks of joint working between the Centre for Genomic Pathogen Surveillance & @GHRUamrCol teams at AGROSAVIA , Colombia towards implementation of genomic AMR surveillance. All 3 streams (bioinformatics, finance + lab) working collaboratively to achieve @OfficialNIHR funded project goals.

Thoroughly enjoyable GFGP diagnostic assessment visit here at the University of Ibadan with Sam from Humentum. Lots of learnings in practical implementation of this powerful new standard. Thanks to University of Ibadan staff for their warm welcome & engagement in the process. NIHR GHRU AMR

Through ongoing viral lineage mapping in space and time, COVID-19 Genomics UK (COG-UK) Consortium, of which Centre for Genomic Pathogen Surveillance is a vital cog, reports an influx and circulation of ~40 different #SARSCoV2 strains in the UK since March; several international ones have since gone extinct.
