The conversation around the Nuggets at the national level is so poor. Anyone watching this team for the last two years (not windy) and saying the upgrades the Nuggets made are ‘marginal’ or that they squandered their last asset for a non-star just don’t get what this team needs.

Lost in Denver’s already stellar off-season is the incoming debut of DaRon Holmes II, who missed his entire rookie season to injury Holmes is a prototypical modern big, who can put the ball on the court & attack the rim while also being a naturally gifted playmaker out of the

One of the most alarming developments of the past 8 years is the Rs discovered they can just lie. Not frame or spin. Flat out lie. Make shit up. Make crazy, outrageous, obviously false shit up. They lie in Xeet and on television. It’s deeply corrosive to the soul of the country.

Talking to NBA teams over the last few days a theme has emerged: Caution with long-term deals. With the cap projected to rise only 7% for 2026-27 vs what was thought to be a near-guaranteed max of 10%, teams are wary of signing deals that will outpace the growth of the cap.

Kon Knueppel on playing on two feet: “It evens out the athleticism…I’m not super athletic, so being able to play off two feet..now they have to be ready for a shot fake or a pivot. It kind of evens the playing field.” (Via Jeremy Grandison 🎥)

defenses will struggle immensely to penetrate and score at the rim against luke kornet and victor wembanyama, both ranking inside the top 6 in rim pts saved/100 last season so much potential for single and double big lineups with both fucntioning as anchors and roamers

Let the Phoenix Suns be a lesson to every NBA team under this new CBA: if you make significant mistakes, you will pay significant consequences one way or another. Manage assets, build through the draft, prioritize using capital to make margin moves/finishing touches.

Doing Giddey contract research, looked at best predictive public metrics. DARKO has Giddey as 115th best player. Predictive EPM has him 74th. 115th highest paid player makes $15M this season. 74th makes $25M. Split it, $20M to start w/ 8% raises. 4 yrs / $90M or 5 yrs / $117M.

This is how it always should have been This is going to actively promote players to take heaves at the end of the clock because some of % based incentives in their deals

Payton Pritchard on players who wouldn’t launch a heave because they were protecting their shooting percentages: “Soft mentally. Worrying about a shooting percentage. It’s very weak. You care about your individual shooting percentage more than winning. That’s so soft.”

I think this is misleading, this clip is a bunch of catch-and-go finishes at the rim, which MPJ has done when healthy. What could really differentiate CJ is being able to read the floor in DHO/pindown, even PnR settings. 18% assist rate last year, to MPJ's 8.4%.

AJ Honestly there just is zero defensive structure in these games so I don’t take anything away from anyone on that end. especially someone with limitations who needs the structure like Flip.

I respect Draymond Green but disagree that the apron rules has ended free agency. Why free agency has shrunk is because nearly 50 potential free agents this summer decided that guaranteed money was too valuable and signed extensions. The change in extension rules in this CBA

I've gotten four different emails today with lines/odds on Summer League games and champions. If you are gambling on Summer League, you have a problem and need to seek help.
