NEW: Contrary to our hypothesis, device-measured🪑 time in adolescence was NOT associated with adverse body composition profiles (BMI, WC, WHtR, fat%, lean%) in early adulthood. Interesting findings and a challenging paper to write! pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37130997/

Knowing #physicalactivity is good for you is one thing, knowing how much you need is another. In the US, only 3% of adults & 15% of parents are aware of aerobic exercise guidelines, highlighting the need to strengthen relevant communication strategies doi.org/10.1123/jpah.2…

It was such a pleasure to listen to my former mentor and legend in the field, Janet Fulton, deliver the keynote address today on steps and health at #ACSM23. I’m walking away so inspired to keep doing this work!

Always enjoy hearing Panteleimon ("Paddy") Ekkekakis talk about exercise and affect. Affect is still not rigorously addressed enough in current PA interventions - we must do better if we want our work to be effective #ACSM23
