I randomly ran into Trey Parker along the pier in Seattle, not at all where you’d expect! When I complimented him for his work he gave me the greatest “Thanks, buddy!” In that South Park canada accent we all have come to love. Cool moment as a long time fan.

Those of you who saw BRAVING RAPIDS should recognize lead actor and director of MOUNTAINSIDE, Mikiech Nichols. He played Gus, who was after the pup. Tremendous talent and all around great guy who made a fantastic film about falling in love with your best friend.

The note of “low budget VFX” on an indie film just tells me you’re not a viewer who can suspend disbelief.

Anyone else notice how using film festival laurels on your poster or trailer has become a deterrent?

If you're going to shoot low budget, put the money to what we see on screen. Production design, strong talent go a long way. Don't compromise where quality is absolutely necessary just because the budget is low. Your audience will appreciate it.
