We’ve seen several harmful algal blooms (HABs) across the #Adirondacks this week. If you see a bloom avoid contact as it could contain toxins. Paul Smith's College Adirondack Watershed Institute staff are out sampling as many blooms as possible to identify the cyanobacteria present and test for toxins.
Arsenault Lab MS student Jack Marshall is leading a huge effort to understand impacts of seasonal habitat availability on #brooktrout foraging in the NW Adirondacks (NY, USA). We hope that results will help inform management of this ecologically & culturally important species. 🐟
