I'm glad to join Green ERA Sustainability and members of the Auburn Gresham community to announce a $3 million state investment that will help bring a new urban farming campus to Chicago’s South Side.

Last week, I toured the site for @UGrowCollective’s new state-of-the-art composting facility set to open in the 1st District next Spring. The site will capture methane and use it for fuel — an exciting example of the crossover between my work on Energy & Commerce Democrats and House Agriculture Committee Democrats.

(1) We are funding $10M to 14 community-accountable intermediaries with unrestricted & multiyear grants that are unsolicited & require no administrative burdens.
