courtnewsuk.co.uk/stormzy-brande… My issue with Stormzy is that he had bought all the Baileys and Poinsettas this Christmas. Every Waitrose in London had no goose fat. All hidden behind the tinted windows in the Lambo. He went back in the Roller to stockpile turkey crowns and stilton.

It can be very hot, or cold, and rainy. You get eaten by midges. But friendly dogs think you have dishes of food and paddle over to you. Children and parents ask you what you are doing. Then they tell their friends. Soon, people are talking about the river and what can be done.

If we slowly destroy what makes us distinctive as a borough, then we have done as much to obliterate ourselves as a borough as this idea that we should be bundled into a larger authority. Change has to happen eventually but not at the expense of our identity.

I completed my River Invertebrates course on this river. The same river that actually caught fire next to a chemical works when I was a child. My Dad was aghast as he told Mum about it. So sad.

This has to be one of the loveliest projects I have ever been involved with. Thank you GrantScape and SUEZ UK communities fund. Brigit Strawbridge having a tall husband was immensely helpful during installation!

change.org/p/protect-graf… The county council's opportunity to do something wonderful: biodiversity, #riversstate & for people. The adjacent school provides an excellent environment #Autism - this would add to that provision. conservation volunteering is a lifeline #MentalHealth

Great news. Seriously though. Physics defying flyers, immunity and a darn fine impersonation of a Kenneth Williams voiceover. What a great little bird.

🚨 We’ve been back out on the #RiverWandle collecting sediment samples at 8 sites, funded by our Crowdfunder. Visible hydrocarbon contamination was found at every site. The diesel spill impact is ongoing — and you deserve to know what’s in your river now. #WaterQuality

On the shoulders of giants. A bygone era that I miss. The local co- operative society where I lived was a big part of my childhood. This one is in #Newcastle, now a hotel.

Who used to watch Tales of The Riverbank? It featured real animals and related the adventures of two friends, Hammy (a hamster) and Roderick (a white mouse). It was narrated by Johnny Morris.
