At the #EPRNConference11, welcome remarks were delivered by Kasai Ndahiriwe, the Vice Chairperson of #EPRN, and Fabrizio Santoro from International Centre for Tax and Development . We also got to hear the remarks of the guest of honor, Ms Stella R. Nteziryayo, the Chief Economist from Ministry of Finance & Economic Planning

The 1st panel discussion was around Enhancing resilience of economies in this era of socio-economic shocks whereby key discussed shocks included climate change, pandemics and geo-political shocks. 🇷🇼 needs to strengthen its financial and technical resilience to manage the shocks.

During his presentation on Tax Reforms in Rwanda, Mr Abel Ntegano said Taxes mainly affect businesses and luxury goods, keeping essential goods largely unaffected. #EPRNConference11

The 2nd panel discussion, jointly hosted by #EPRNRwanda and International Centre for Tax and Development , focused on Domestic Revenue Mobilization through effective tax policy administration, highlighting digitalization of tax systems and public education as key priorities. #EPRNConference11

Yesterday, researchers, professionals, and private sector stakeholders from various institutions gathered at #EPRNConference11 and engaged with insightful research findings and diverse perspectives. Today, we move into Day-2, focusing on Youth in Agribusiness and Gender Policies.

The first round panel discussion of Day 2 during the #EPRNConference11 is about 'Youth in Agribusiness, challenges and opportunities' moderated by Gakwandi Godfrey from Care International Rwanda.

The second panel discussion of Day-2 at #EPRNConference11 explores "Gender Policies: What is already there? What is missing? How can we enforce them?" moderated by Sonia Honorine, FWG Alumna.

In his presentation, Dr. Birasa Nyamulinda shared an "Overview of Africa Adaptation Atlas", a presentation of the Rwanda Case Study.

#EPRNConference11 successfully concluded with a summary of key takeaways and conference recommendations presented by Willis Odhiambo, followed by the closing remarks from Dr. Twagirimana Emmanuel from Ministry of Finance & Economic Planning .
