Paul Gosselin The per capita rates of transmission inside Canada's densest cities -- Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, Ottawa -- is FAR lower than same-sized American cities. And per capita incidence in prairie provinces is well below that of sparsely populated Wyoming, Montana, etc.

I am horrified to learn that at least 140 people died in a shipwreck off the coast of Senegal. Every person searching for a better life deserves safety and dignity. We need safe, legal routes for migrants and refugees.

So please #SupportLocal & do so kindly & #COVIDwisely. It's been a year, Ottawa. We've learned a lot, and we're learning more each day. We'll keep doing our best to get our community through this. We can't hold your hands, but please wash them anyway. -OPH out. (11/11)

Groups most at risk for #HIV and other STIs have been particularly affected by the #COVID19 pandemic. I want to acknowledge the incredible work by community leaders, health providers and peer-navigators in helping to reach the undiagnosed and linking people to care. #WorldAIDSDay

1/3 #COVID19 key concerns in 🇨🇦 : While there is a lot to look forward to as 2021 begins, we must also proceed with a full understanding of the difficult task ahead. canada.ca/en/public-heal…

2/3 Two weeks ago, Canada had just exceeded 500,000 #COVID19 cases. It took ~5 months to reach our first 100,000 cases, but just over 2 weeks for the latest 100,000 case increase, with the current cumulative case count at 611,424.

3/3 The current momentum of the epidemic and continued high rates of #COVID19 infection means this ever more rapid accumulation of cases will continue until we can make significant progress to #SlowTheSpread. YOU + #PublicHealth: canada.ca/en/public-heal…

While it’s true that many of us won’t be able to show off our pink shirts in person this year, that doesn’t mean we are any less resolved to take a stand against bullying and discrimination. #PinkShirtDay

Sleepless nights...🤔 How to #EndInequalities #EndAIDS #EndPandemics whereas we can, for sure protect people in Pakistan through their engagement and awareness raising on #HIV prevention. Get yourself tested. Don't think about anything. Your health comes first. #WorldAIDSDay2021
