Watching all the folks in the comments sections who have argued that men should get more money in sport because they get more eyeballs and generate more revenue scramble around for new content as the FIFA Women's World Cup becomes the most watched thing of 2023 💪

Is there something going on in your sport that doesn’t feel right? Unequal prizemoney or women being excluded from an event? Or maybe it’s to do with sponsorship money or the way public funds are being spent. We want to hear from you. Visit our website!

Last night’s #AUSvENG game was the most watched thing in the history of current TV ratings system. 11 million people tuned in. Yet rumours are Seven only paid about $5mil for rights to the whole cup… Investment in women’s sport starts with pricing fair. Price rises start now!

This is enormous. Something we hoped and campaigned for at Equal Pay for Equal Play NSW but didn’t think would happen so quickly in the AFL - kudos to the AFL AFL Women's for taking this important step to equality!! 🙌🏻

Great to meet with womens sport advocate Dr Marjorie O'Neill and NSW Minister for Sport Steve Kamper to discuss how we’re going to ensure equal prize money, opportunity, access to facilities and support for female athletes in the wake of the #FIFAWWC buzz. Watch this space!

New from me: shameful prize money pay gap in ⁦Football South Australia⁩ ⁦Women playing in Australia’s National Premier Leagues – the feeder leagues for ⁦⁦Ninja A-League⁩ – compete for less than 1/3 of men’s prize money. ⁦Izzy Hodgson⁩ theguardian.com/football/2023/…

Who else followed every sports channel under the sun during the Women’s World Cup so you could watch it from every angle now they’re back to showing only men’s sport you feel trapped?

WIN FOR WOMEN IN SPORT: the Office of Sport NSW will introduce a new requirement for sporting organisations receiving government funding. They must commit to equal prize money, opportunities and participation for women in their sport to receive $$. 2.5 years in, we got what we asked for. 🎉

Here’s our submission to the current NSW review of anti-discrimination law. We encourage you to read it and lobby your member to support it. Gender discrimination still occurs way too often in sport. lawreform.nsw.gov.au/documents/Curr…

In the US today, YukaSaso just won $2.4 million for winning the US Women’s Open. This is the biggest prize in women’s golf, and largest in women’s sports at a standalone venue. 3 years ago she won the same event and received $1 million. It is happening!!! Equal Pay for Equal Play NSW
