The prices for modern lenses is too high, and it isn't sustainable in light of the flexibility that AI processing brings to a small sensor, with fixed lens

On top of that, camera companies are afraid to innovate and bring AI to prosumer cameras, for fear of cannibalising their own massive market for lenses and the high margins this glass brings to the table

The EOS R5 is now 2300 euros second hand and basically a similar spec to a Nikon Z8, even now 4 years later. With all the firmware updates and fake overheating problems behind it, I think that’s a good deal 👍
