Any concessions won through taking strike action will benefit my postdocs, and any of of my students who stay in academia. One of the reasons I strike is because I want a good deal for them and the rest of my ECR colleagues. Striking is a direct act of care.

Pleased to share the latest preprint from the Martin lab Arnaud Martin. We investigated continuous colour variation in Colias butterflies, and found that few large effect loci explain a large portion of the variation #colsci 1/

#Heliconius are some of the most charismatic butterflies you will find in the rainforest. They are also one of the most studied (although not by me). Here I am in Ecuador with one of my favourites, preaching about the fabulous work of Stephen Montgomery and the EBAB team! #brainevolution
