Today marks the 100th founding year anniversary of the Turkish Republic 🇹🇷. Ataturk, the visionary founder, said: "Science is the true mentor" for a better world. He advocated for "world peace" by listening each other & cooperation. Today, these visions are still much needed.

Our newest paper was published today, a capstone to our work on gain-of-function evolution, phage-bacterial interaction network formation, and microbial diversification.

Another great paper from our team (led by Chase), which I’m the second author of, is now published by PNAS! We investigated the selective protein import mechanism to the phage nucleus and our findings provide a mechanistic model to the system!
