The Executive Secretary/CEO, Dr. Ifeyinwa Ani-Osheku, appeared on Arise TV's Early Morning Show on Saturday, where she highlighted the remarkable progress made in primary health care under the leadership of Governor Dr. Peter Mbah since the inception of his administration.

As we gear up for the upcoming National Immunization Plus Days (NIPDs) in Enugu State, our dedicated health educators have taken to the streets, markets, churches, and various stakeholder gatherings across the 17 LGAs to sensitize the public about the programme.

Yesterday the ES led a sensitization walk to Ogbete Main Market, ahead of the NIPDs campaign scheduled to kick off today. During the outreach, market women were educated on the importance of vaccinating children under 5 with the nOPV to protect them against the poliovirus.

Our dedicated team of health workers were present in churches across the state today, administering two drops of the oral polio vaccine to children, ensuring they are protected against the poliovirus.

The ES/CEO, during an interactive session on Afia TV, discussed the Free to Shine initiative of the First Lady of Nigeria and how ndi Enugu can benefit from the program as well as it complement the efforts of the Governor, in strengthening the health sector at large.
