King Charles III will be formally proclaimed monarch at the Principal Proclamation in London. The Union Flag will be raised to full mast at the Town Hall, Guildhall & York House & stay at full mast until 1pm Sun 11 Sep when the regional proclamations will have happened.

Please be aware that we’re expecting Windsor town centre to continue to be busy this weekend following the sad passing of Her Majesty The Queen. All council-owned public car parks, except for Romney Lock and Home Park, are currently open but have limited availability.

The local Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Proclamation is taking place today, close to the Queen Victoria statue in Windsor, at 12.30pm. The viewing area is limited but we will share video footage so that the whole community can witness this historic moment.
