Adulthood isn’t just for building on what you were good at as a kid. It’s also for new interests that you couldn’t do or didn’t get good at as a kid.

I can’t stand songs or movies that don’t make it clear they’re about mental health upfront but throw in dramatic portrayals of it as a side plot later. I wanna watch shenanigans, not process other people’s trauma that I didn’t consent to.

Social media is getting as depressing as the news used to be. Ugh maybe I’ll end up becoming one of those group chat only people. I hope not because I love discovery, but not when it mixes up my interests and my triggers.

Abusive bosses don't drive performance. They undermine it. 471 studies, 149k people, 36 countries: in aggressive workplaces, we do poorer work, collaborate less, and shirk more. Incivility breaks confidence and breeds resentment. The best way to get results is to show respect.

When someone says they don’t want to talk about something at the moment, it’s not the time to justify why it’s a worthwhile topic or ask about similar scenarios. They could be triggered or low energy. That’s like pulling out a megaphone when someone says you’re too loud.

Looking back, whether people respond to others’ neurodivergence disclosure with the likes of “thanks for sharing 🫶” vs “fascinating 👀” has been a great litmus test for who was a positive addition to my life vs source of drama.

theres a trend of teaching kids “mindfulness”. odd implication: as if kids need to learn to be fully present. in a way this is another inversion of child adult authority: we put kids in stressful disorienting environments, then task them with not being stressed and disoriented.

Disappointing to see this kinda gossip bait from a group targeting #neurodivergent folks. Proud of the commenters for not taking the bait. Airing other’s dirty laundry in public spaces isn’t a path to support. #neurodiversity

IDK why I get notifications from people I don’t even follow. I follow 1K people. I’m sure there’s enough content there.
