Starlink is a really good tool for this. When we lost power and cell towers from tornadoes back in April, I turned our Starlink back on and it worked great. We've used it all over the US now too. Glad to see it used in North Carolina, they've got some serious rebuilding to do!

A friend of mine just livestreamed using Starlink from Marshall NC. This is very cool. I've loved mine, we've used it all over the country, it even works while driving (I put it in the bed of my truck and my wife takes meetings while I drive.)

Conditions in Asheville & nearby communities have materially improved since I arrived: • 10+ groceries opened • 15+ gas stations pumping • Dozens of roads restored • Power online for tens of thousands  • Influx of provisions Major issues remain, but recovery efforts working.
