44th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS 2024 HELSINKI, FINLAND

Zimbabwe Parliament delegation led by Hon. Adv. Speaker Jacob Francis Nzwidamilimo Mudenda of Zimbabwe Parliament visited Energi Engagemang solar park in Strängnäs. The visit to Energi Engagemang solar park was focused on Environment,Climate Change and Renewable Energy solutions

Working Dinner was organised at the Residence by H.E Ambassador for the visiting Parliament Delegation. Where two companies, Carbon Credit and Water Purification had the opportunity to present their environmentally friendly solutions to the Delegation.

During Parliament Delegations Nordic visit they were received by the H.E. Ms Daiga Mieriņa, Speaker of the Saeima (Latvian Parliament). The Delegation also took the opportunity to visit the RIGA Technical University and meeting with representatives of Riga Tech Girls movement.

ZIMBABWE PARLIAMENT DELEGATION VISIT TO FINLAND – UNIVERSITY OF HELSINKI. The Delegations visit to Finland coved various subjects and visits to many places, starting with Education and Vocational Training introduction, AI, and collaborations at Helsinki University.

While in Finland the Delegation visited Aalto Startup Center, a hybrid accelerator offering its own incubator and accelerator services and several partnership programs. Its focus is on sustainable research-based and innovative startups. They visited VTT research institution too.

During Parliament Delegation’s visit to Finland they visited the Eduskuntatalo (Finnish Parliament), where they were received by the H.E. Mr Jussi HALLA-AHO, Speaker of the Eduskunta (Parliament).

The delegation visited Fun Academy Education in Helsinki. It is an education company that provides pedagogical solutions based on the unique Fun Learning approach. Solutions that are truly international applications and are adaptable to every curriculum.

CELEBRATION OF RWANDA & SWEDEN GENDER EQUALITY JOURNEY Panel discussions, “Bridging Gender Gaps: Insights from Sweden & Africa,” “Elevating Girls in Leadership: From STEM to Business,” and “Healthcare Equity” sparked engaging conversations and highlighted strategies for progress.

April 18th marks Zimbabwe’s 44 years of independence. The country, formerly known as Rhodesia, gained independence from Britain in 1980 after a long and bitter struggle for freedom. The Embassy of Zimbabwe in Stockholm will be closed on the 18th of April.

🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼Zimbabwe 44th Independence Day Celebrations. 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼 This years Independence Day celebration was held in Helsinki Finland with many of the members of the diaspora taking the opportunity to get together on the joyous occasion.

CLOSURE OF CONSULAR SERVICES: Tuesday 28th May 2024 The Emb of the Republic of Zimbabwe wishes to advise that the Emb will be closed on Tuesday 28th May 2024 for the commemoration of the Africa Day. We take this opportunity to wish all Zimbabweans a happy Africa day celebration.

The Embassy participated in the Africa Day celebrations held on 28th May. The event was hosted by the Ambassador of Egypt to Sweden. His Excellency Johan Forssell, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Sweden was the Guest of Honour at the event

Embassy of Zimbabwe took part in the World Village Festival in Helsinki, Finland held on 25 and 26 May 24. World Village Festival is Finland’s leading event for global action for the whole family, an admission free cultural festival, and a trade fair for sustainable development.

SADAC family day 2024 was held at the Embassy of Tanzania in Stockholm.

AFRICA IN LEJRE was an art and cultural event organised by the Municipal Counsel of Lejre, situated in the outskirts of Copenhagen in Denmark. Month of September the Lejre Municipality has organised numerous events and exhibitions showcasing African painting, sculpture and music.

HE Ambassador Priscilla Misihairabwi-Mushonga met with Hon Minister of Foreign Affairs for Republic of Latvia, Baiba Brazé at the new year reception held in Riga on the 29th of Jan.

Happy National Day to All🇳🇴 The Norwegian National Day celebrations is a beautiful and joyous occasion. Where heartfelt patriotism is celebrated by young and old. Ambassador of Rwanda Dr Diane GASHUMBA & I were joined by the Prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre for the grand finale dance.
