It’s called the long goodbye. 😢 Rapidly shrinking brain a doctor described it. I wouldn't wish Dementia or Alzheimer's on anyone. As the brain slowly dies, Patients can eventually become bedridden, unable to move & unable to eat or drink. This is very hard & sad on family.
