World's largest CyToF deep-phenotyping on MIS-C immune cells is finally published, nature.com/articles/s4146… The work is done by a dream team with paediatric consultant Nazima Pathan, immunologists Graham S Taylor , Clare Bryant ([email protected]) , and bioinformatics experts Teichlab.
The diverse activation of T cells were revealed for first time, with increased IL-18, FAS signalling (19h continuous work with Graham S Taylor). Some thought-provoking (controversial?) data on NLRP3 caused publication delay and my redundancy😂
Have a read if you are interested in MIS-C (PIMS-TS). And the work is impossible without generous funding from Action Medical Research, who passionately supports research of children's health.
IL18 and CD95 from activated monocytes and CD16- NK cells triggers activation of TCR Vβ21.3+ T-cells in MIS-C, driven by increased IL-18 production Clare Bryant ([email protected]) @Inflammedlab Zhenguang Zhang Graham S Taylor Nazima Pathan nature.com/articles/s4146…

Thanks a lot for the kind support from Physics of Life @ to provide a Carer's bursary. It helps researchers who have caregiving responsibilities(like children) to attend sicentific meetings. I am very previliaged to get the bursary to attend COPD-UK conference in Nottingham.
Very proud to work at VPD Heart & Lung Research Institute alongside the world-leading researchers it brings together. As it celebrates its 3rd birthday today, the future of heart & lung research looks brighter than ever! cam.ac.uk/stories/heart-… Charlotte Summers
