Random Serial Dictatorship is (i) ex post Pareto efficient (ii) symmetric (as in Pycia and Troyan), (iii) truthful (outcome from truth-telling FOSD outcome from lying). Is RSD is the only mechanism satisfying these properties? As far as I know, this is an open question. (!!!)

Heavy workload crushes my schedule. And time is never enough. In this term, I better lay solid foundation for Microeconomic(nourish my intuition), Macroeconomic , calculus, and set hand on R and python. Nothing more.

The mission of social science is creating uncertainty, or as Bismarck pointed out, “An art of probability ”. The best social scientist draft a contract and those who support it sign on it. In this sense, social science could just take off the cloth of “science”.

Honestly, I'm unsure what "theory" means in today's political science. Not to diminish its importance, it often appears as logical arguments or explanations derived from observations in fairly specific contexts.

(In a PhD app panel) R: Work life balance means you work hard now and you’ll have a life in the future. 💪 Makes prefect sense. What makes even more sense is to do what you genuinely love so you don’t need to strike any balance 😼

Signs of a recovering PPE student: 1. Narrowly avoids quoting Kant in review article on mechanism design. 2. Narrowly avoids using "ex nihilo" in the conclusion of applied micro paper.

Last month, I stepped down as an editor after 6.5 years (4 REStud; 2.5 JEEA). I have gathered a few suggestions that can help you avoid unnecessary negative referee reports.
