Round 12 at VIRginia International Raceway came to an end in true Mazda MX-5 Cup fashion- a competitive final-lap battle that resulted in a penalty after contact was made among the front of the pack. Jared Thomas was bumped up to claim the win, followed by Aaron Jeansonne and Nate Cicero.
