Set aside the next 1 - 2 years of your life to learn a high income skill. If you think 2 years is too much. See, 2 years will still come and you may still be searching for job then.

Here's why you should put your certificate aside and acquire a skill. Look, the school system is out of date and most things you were taught are no more needed. Which puts people like you in low demand in the labour market.

Here are skills you may pick up: 1. Sales 2. Digital Marketing 3. Copywriting 4. Web Development 5. Affiliate Marketing 6. SEO and SEM Marketing 7. Trade Skills (Crypto) 8. Video Production 9. Content Writing 10. Software Development 11. UI/UX Design

12. Cloud computing 13. Artificial intelligence There are others but I'm sure any of these skills can make you millions of Naira monthly. (I'm not saying you'll make 5 million after one month. It takes time to scale). Also these skills require almost Zero naira to acquire.

During your 1-2 years. Here are things you should do 1. NETWORK The way you make money from those skills is through people. It is people that will pay for your services. So network with people that may need your services now or later.

2. SERVE We all know how people ask for your level of experience in any field you are. They want to give their jobs and contracts to people who have experience. But you are just starting, you don't have a portfolio yet.

How do you get it? By working for free. Volunteer. Do Internship. That's how to gather experience. 3. LEARN HOW TO SELL You don't make money by having a skill, you make money by selling the skill you have.

So learn how to market yourself, close deals and make irresistible offers. 4. GET A MENTOR Having a mentor makes the process easier for you. They've gone through the path you're going through now. They know what works.

How do you get a mentor? you get them by serving them. It's not a must you tell them you need their mentorship. Listen to their teachings, read their books

5. BE PATIENT Most people give up just before the time they should start enjoying the fruits of their labours. You spent 4-6 yrs in school to get a certificate that couldn't get you a job. So you shouldn't be in a hurry to buy a house from a skill you picked up just a month ago.
