New in Physical Review Letters: Helium-3 can form stable compounds with iron at high temperatures and pressures. The findings support the hypothesis that a reservoir of helium-3 was trapped inside Earth’s core during the planet’s formation. Read the paper: go.aps.org/3EVEEB9
