Well boys and girls, here is the one thing you do not want to see while in a foreign country; a positive Covid test. Would’ve been home tomorrow, instead were the guests of the Italian health care system in Capri for probably another week.

Day 5 still positive. I’m putting a lot of hope and faith in tomorrows test. Foreign countries are always more enjoyable if you are there voluntarily.

7th day of testing, finally get a negative. Next steps: get proper documentation, get a boat off Capri, find a ride 180 miles to Rome, get to the airport and fly out Wednesday. No brainer. USA here we come!

7 days quarantined in Capri,asked/allowed to leave semi-legally. 5 days hiding in airport hotel near Rome. Finally decided to surface and take the official test today, risking being put in a very unpleasant Covid facility in Rome. 2 negatives! The Golden Ticket. Arrivederci Roma!

25 1/2 hours to get home from Italy. Beautiful historical sights and extended stay due to quarantine. Those who are unhappy in the US, might want to consider rethinking their position. Thankful to be home!
