In a group activity, the Change Agents shared lessons they’ve learned in the past two years. Together, they agreed: they have the power to create positive change in their communities, and it’s "up to us to make it happen." 💫 #YMCAVision2030

It’s a big night at the YMCA Accelerator Summit tonight. Alongside the upcoming inaugural World YMCA Impact Awards at the Closing Ceremony, the Change Agents will be celebrating their graduation. 🎓 A moment to reflect on their learning and the lifelong friendships they’ve built.

You can judge the wisdom of any society by the investment it makes in all its children, young people & their families. This requires a fundamental reset of the relationship between government & civil society - voluntary organisations, social enterprises, charities & faith groups.

Devotions held a special place at the YMCA Accelerator Summit. Aligned with the Week of Prayer theme, "Moving with Faith through the Elements," each session reflected on the power of water, earth, fire, & wind in scripture & our daily lives. 🙏 More: bit.ly/47QSYoC

International Volunteer Day, commonly known as IVD, is celebrated on 5 December every year. 🤗 It is a day where volunteers are acknowledged and the spirit of volunteerism is promoted at the local, national and international levels.

It's great to be in attendance at NICVA Annual General Meeting! As our CEO Dean also sits as a member of NICVA executive committee it's important that we play our part but also recognise the support NICVA gives to us and the wider voluntary and community sector!! NICVA

O little town of Bethlehem How still we see thee lie Beyond thy bleak & dreamless sleep The deathly comets fly And in your torn streets haunted By visions of the dead, The walls don't shield & can't rebuild A house of broken bread Greenbelt’s poignant version of the famous carol

The failure of many churches to welcome, accept & include LGBT+ people not only creates stigma, loneliness & lasting damage to their wellbeing & mental health, it misunderstands & misrepresents God. It's as backward looking as the Church's former endorsement of the slave trade!
