Since they are taking down that DVDASA podcast video with David Choe, and actively pursuing Black journalists with Cease & Dease letters, here's my low quality summary of everything. As a KTown Korean American, I refuse to ignore this! I will hold my own accountable!

As time ticks on, you can no longer say BEEF’s success is being tanked by one man—it’s being decimated by a collective hell bent on protecting him. It’s stars and creators. His friends. It’s insidious and a shame of the highest order.

Using mental health issues as an exuce for his blatant bigotry, sexual assault and fantasies of committing sexual assault of Black women, is nasty work. Doing this stigmatizes people with mental health issues and deligitamises the harm done then and caused now.

i need ali wong and steven yeun to understand that “joking” about rape is not a mental health issue. it’s reminding marginalized people, in this case, black women, that you hold power over them.

Steven Yeun knew about David Choe’s DVDASA. He was also a guest on two episodes. In one of those episodes, Yeun is heard laughing when Choe talks about his fantasy of being tied up while his girlfriend is raped.
