According to Arizona State University, “free speech” includes targeted, organized hate speech and racial profiling, but does not include protesting against genocide. The lukewarm statement makes one thing crystal clear: ASU will not protect students of color against white supremacists. ⬇️

Trayvon Martin should be celebrating his 30th birthday today. While walking home, Trayvon was profiled, pursued, and killed—his life stolen because of racist assumptions. His killer walked free. Happy heavenly birthday, Trayvon. We will never stop fighting for justice.

We strongly support the passage of SB1453–while university presidents rake in almost $1 million per year, students face rising tuition costs and staff live paycheck to paycheck. It’s time to use higher education funding to actually make higher education more accessible.

Senator Cory Booker spoke for over 24 hours nonstop, fighting Trump and Musk’s unconstitutional takeover. He shattered a Senate record once held by segregationist Strom Thurmond, who tried to block civil rights. This is the bold leadership we need from Democrats.
