We are excited to welcome new faculty member Professor Yang Liu to the department! To get to know Professor Liu a little better, we asked her a few questions about her work and what makes bioengineering important to her. Read that interview here: bioengineering.illinois.edu/news/QA-Yang-L…

Thank Christophe Leterrier for posting this. Our new adaptive intersection maximization-based method (AIM) tackles high-frequency drift in SMLM in Science Advances, enhancing resolution dramatically. It works directly on the point lists. Try it out and let us know how it works. #SMLM

🔬🔬🔬🧬🧬🧬 Picasso 0.7.0 now supports a new drift correction method AIM (github.com/jungmannlab/pi…). Main advantage is that it can capture high frequency drift better. Below is our 20nm DNA ruler benchmark. Amazing work from the Jungmann Lab in particular Rafał Kowalewski.

✨ Huge thanks to everyone who joined the Quantitative Phase Imaging (QPI) Conference at @SPIE SPIE Photonics West ! ✨ It was amazing to see the QPI community grow, with 90 abstracts, 14 invited talks, 30 oral presentations, & 46 posters—a testament to the field’s rapid progress!
