Sometimes you can tell the difference between male and female moths based on the size of their antennae. Male moths will have larger, fluffier antennae that they use to pick up on the pheromones released by the females. The males can detect these pheromones up to 8 miles away!

Moths are incredibly diverse! The genus Cryptoses live in the fur of sloths in South America. Once a week when the sloth descends to poop, the moths take this opportunity to lay their eggs in the poop of sloths. Sloths can carry more than 120 moths at one time!
