This week's empowering person is Shaquem Griffin. Shaquem is a professional football player for the Seattle Seahawks. He was born with amniotic band syndrome, which caused his left hand to not fully develop. However, that didn't stop him from making it to the NFL.

This week's empowering person is Franklin Delano Roosevelt. F.D.R. was president of the United States throughout the Great Depression and much of WWII. In 1921, he contracted Polio, taking away his ability to walk. However, he is still known for his accomplishments as President.

This week's empowering person is Pete Frates. Pete had a long and courageous battle with ALS from 2012, all the way up until his death in 2019. Throughout his battle with ALS, he created the "Ice Bucket Challenge" and helped to raise more than $100 million toward fighting ALS.
