To end our early release day, we watched an uplifting video of brave Amelia, a Ukrainian 7 year old who sang "Let it Go" in a shelter. Later, in Poland, she sang the Ukrainian national anthem to a LARGE crowd. 🇺🇦💙💛

Westford student Amelia, along with help from some classmates, held a fundraiser for refugees in Ukraine. By knitting and selling hats and headbands in Ukraine's flag colors, Amelia was able to reach and surpass her fundraising goal, sending $575 to the UN Refugee Agency! #EWSD

As 3rds wrap up their fairy tale unit, they are celebrating by having writing choice: independently or w/ a group. They brainstormed language to use in social situations⤵️
