So, by this time in 2005, the second test wasn't even done. 20 years later, the test summer is already behind us. Infuriating. Also, a great reminder that Channel 4's '05 Ashes coverage was so much better than Sky's. Mark Nicholas was so good at calling the BIG moments.

2008 financial crash. Not saying things were perfect before, and I was only 13, but it genuinely feels like the country operated at a basic level at that point, no? After this we get austerity, we get Farage, Brexit, Johnson, COVID, Truss, Sunak, and Starmer. So bleak.
