A report was presented to the Committee on 26th July 2022 in relation to the gender gap in children’s writing. It was agreed a further report would be presented to the Committee summarising the overall findings. You can read the new report here: councillors.liverpool.gov.uk/documents/s293…

In Liverpool, this gap is a concern as outcomes for key stage two writing attainment are in the lowest 10% nationally. University of Liverpool & Liverpool Hope University carried out research as part of the wider Writing Over Time Project You can see their findings at: councillors.liverpool.gov.uk/documents/s293…
