Fab birthday trip to the Lakes this wknd (ta to my lovely wife Lisa Bourne). The staff Wordsworth Grasmere on Sat in the museum & café were welcoming, informative and attentive. The tour of Dove Cottage was great. May have got carried away with the dressing up, I make no apologies.

At last, a first celandine! Wordsworth’s description of this flower, ‘Telling tales about the sun,/When we’ve little warmth, or none’, seems perfect for this grey day 🌼 en.m.wikisource.org/wiki/Poems_(Wo… #LiteraryLandscapes #MALiterature

A truly golden day in Ambleside celebrating the launch of this new literary walk, which begins at Glenridding & concludes at our Ambleside campus. William Wordsworth was a regular visitor to Scale How (formerly Green Bank) as the daughter of his cousin lived here from 1827 📚🍃
