My uncle found this old newspaper for the first oilers cup win. So cool. Also look at what a stud young Jim Matheson is. Hopefully another this year!

Grading every Oiler’s season day 1: Trent Frederic Difficult to grade this guy given he was injured for 99% of the regular season and likely all of the postseason but goddamn did he not move the needle like… AT ALL. He’s likely extending so I hope he improves but for now: D.

Grading every Oiler’s season day 2: Olivier Rodrigue I mean he started a game and I recall him being… ight. It was when McDrai were injured at the tail end of the year and the team was pretty bad. Not nothing I guess but again he played one full game. Meh. C+ for effort.

Grading every Oiler’s season day 3: Quinn Hutson Uh. Another guy who played two games when we were McDrailess. Young I guess. We’ll wait and see on this one. C.

Grading every Oiler’s season day 5: Matthew Savoie Had a good debut on Draisaitl’s line and hung around before being dropped after an abysmal Anaheim game where everyone sucked. Liked what I saw though. Hope he’s on the roster next year. Still only 4 games. B-

Grading every Oiler’s season day 6: Drake Caggiula Fuck me lad he played seven games?! How?! Damn we were injured this year. Oh well. Another player who played when everyone died and Pickard was a starter. What a time to be alive. Not a good time though. C- cause bald.

Grading every Oiler’s season day 8: Josh Brown Started a playoff game. LOL. Easily the worst player on the team last year. Wasn’t particularly close. I wish him the best. Just… not on my team. F.

Grading every Oiler’s season day 9: John Klingberg Odd year for Klingberg. He was sidelined for Emberson for most of the season due to his lacklustre defence and injuries. Once he got back in the lineup in the playoffs his pair with Walman did great work until the finals. C+.
