I can’t believe it’s been 8 years since I graduated with my M.Ed in Special Education. My mom continues to ask me when I will get my “puff hat” aka a doctorate degree 🤣 not any time soon is my answer

What a 1st weekend of summer! Saturday we went to Lake Charles for a family funeral, then stopped by Beaumont to visit a family friend who’s 101 years old. Sunday we celebrated my niece’s high school graduation and cooled off in the pool. Glad we can rest the rest of this week!

My MIL requested I make her cake for her birthday so my big mama’s chocolate cake it is.

All the rain this week has made Hazel extra cuddly. Also got some Bruster’s Ice Cream since that’s what Jacob wanted for Father’s Day 🍦

I declare today Pajama Day in our house. We don’t have any plan nothing has to get done today so PJs on the couch it is.

Well got like 4 or 5 inches of hair chopped off to today and feeling so much better!

Dinner & a sunset drive as part of our date night for our wedding anniversary. Cheers to 3 years of marriage.

We have been loving going to Barbara Bush Library on Monday for baby time! This momma has been very thankful for #libby with my Harris County Public Library card so I can listen to audiobooks while baby girl is napping.

We are going to spend some time with family today, play some games, maybe get in the pool (weather depending). Hope y’all stay safe and enjoy your day today ❤️

Ran into Planet Happy Smiles at Region 4 Special Ed ! She did an amazing training last school year on Play Centers 🧸

So grateful that two of my best friends from college drove 4 hours to be at baby girl’s baptism. Getting to spend some time with them in person and them finally got to meet her was such a blessing.

Busy day at the house. My dad came over to help me hang a bunch of frame and help with some things in baby girls room, while my mom watched her and hubby worked in the yard. I can’t believe summer is basically over 🤯
