GOD this movie is so good

Okay hang on I need to think more about this. I still have a LOT to say about how this film tackles his downfall compared to Megatron Origin, and how he's definitely a lot more correct in this one, but after seeing it a second time he also doesn't seem quite as blameless now.

Look I have a lot of issues with Rise of the Beasts but Ron Perlman absolutely killed it as Optimus Primal Like, he barely even does anything in the movie and I think his writing was pretty lackluster, but GOD does Perlman nail it.
